Ebony Jewelwing

Also snapped this little guy while fishing in North Georgia mountains. The focus on this isn't terrific, but it's hard to get a picture of them because they don't sit still for long (except for the two who hitched a ride on my fishing pole, as if to torment me because I didn't have my camera on me). These are one of my favorite flying creatures, and thanks to the Abbot at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit for informing me that he (yes it's a male -- the females have white dots on the tops of their wings), is an Ebony Jewelwing Damselfly (Calopteryx maculata). Their irridescent colors are so beautiful in the sunlight. ^^
